Deploying Siebel CRM on Kubernetes with SCM

With SCM, you can easily set up Siebel CRM on Kubernetes—no new tools required. Deploying a cloud native Siebel CRM stack in your own data center is simple.

Here are the high-level steps for installing Siebel CRM on Kubernetes in your data center:

  1. Download Siebel Installer. Begin by downloading the Siebel Installer media zip files from My Oracle Support (MOS). This installer will guide you through the entire process.
  2. Run the Installer. Execute the installer with the necessary inputs and configurations. It will upload the SCM artifacts, including containers and Helm charts, to your container registry, which can be in your data center or in the cloud.
  3. Verify Artifacts. Once the upload is complete, verify the SCM artifacts in your container registry to ensure they are correctly uploaded.
  4. Install Siebel Cloud Manager. Use the Helm charts to install the SCM application. Helm simplifies the deployment process by automating the creation and configuration of Kubernetes applications.
  5. Populate Siebel CRM Container Images. With SCM up and running, use the SCM APIs to populate Siebel CRM Container Images and other utilities to your Container Registry.
  6. Verify Dependencies and Prerequisites. Ensure that all dependencies and prerequisites for Siebel CRM deployment are met. This includes the availability of a Kubernetes cluster, storage for the Siebel file system, and other infrastructure components as per your organization’s requirements.
  7. Deploy Siebel CRM. Deploy Siebel CRM using SCM APIs and verify the deployment on Kubernetes.
