It’s now the time to start working on a local development environment with Oracle Linux and AI. Many things can be done, NVIDIA support for UEK (UEK8 in the example below) is there and, so, we just need to get started with Oracle Linux 10 and UEK8 (based on Linux Upstream 6.12).

It’s my intention to start a series of blog entries, focused on the adoption of AI on top of Oracle Linux; people in my team started time ago and I have a big gap to cover but this is going to be really exciting.

For the hostname I selected “bestia51“, a well studied acronym 😜:

  • “bestia” (Italian) states for “beast” in English
  • the acronym can also be read as “best” – “ia – intelligence artificial“
  • “51” is just the number I’m always used to leverage on my devices, identifying one famous and well known area in Nevada (US)
