VirtualBox 7 enables organizations, for the first time, to centrally manage their development and production VMs running on-premises and on OCI instances using any OS that supports VirtualBox, such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS. A single button or command exports a VM from an on-premises device and runs it on OCI or imports the VM from OCI to the user’s on-premises device.

VirtualBox supports export a local virtual machine to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and this capability is available in the GUI. There is the Oracle VM VirtualBox Technical Paper “ Journey to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Oracle VM VirtualBox” that shows all the deep-dive technical steps, requirements and further details.

The following recording shows an example of moving/cloning your local virtual machine to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
