The recently enacted Executive Orders by the United States Government mandates the implementation of Return to In-person Work and Deferred Resignation Program for the U.S. Federal agency workforce.
In response to these directives, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has issued new data standards for the federal agencies to utilize when processing personnel actions related to Return-to-Office and Deferred Resignation Programs actions for Federal Workforce.
To ensure compliance with these updated standards, PeopleSoft HR has delivered several updates as summarized below:
- Legal Authority Codes: Two new Legal Authority Codes have been added.
- PAR (Personnel Action Request) Remark Codes: Four new PAR Remark Codes are now available.
- Nature of Action Code Mapping: The newly established Legal Authority Codes have been mapped to relevant existing Nature of Action Codes for Return-to-Office and Separation processes.
- CPDF Edit Validation: Existing CPDF Edit definitions have been enhanced to validate the correct Legal Authority Code entry when the Nature of Action for separation is associated with the Return-to-Office or Deferred Resignation Program.
Further details regarding these system changes are outlined in the subsequent section. Agencies are directed to familiarize themselves with this information to ensure accurate and compliant processing of personnel actions.
