Your feedback helps shape PeopleSoft—and now it’s even easier to share, find, and follow the ideas that matter most to you.

Summary of Key Changes

We’ve refreshed the PeopleSoft Ideas Lab experience to make participation simpler and outcomes clearer. With improved categorization and a more consistent approach to idea statuses, you can more quickly discover relevant ideas, add your vote, and track progress from early consideration through delivery.

Refreshed organization and clearer categorization

A major change in the “new” PeopleSoft Ideas Lab is a cleaner, more intuitive structure—especially for areas that span across multiple products and technologies.

We’ve created a dedicated Common Frameworks lab (previously part of Tech – PeopleSoft Technology) so that cross product ideas are easier to locate and manage. This includes ideas related to:

  • Enterprise Components (for example, Page and Field Configurator and Approvals)
  • Across PeopleSoft Frameworks (for example, Notifications and Activity Guides)

Along with the new lab structure, idea descriptions have been enhanced to make it easier for authors and voters to create and find ideas. These descriptions will become tags (or be included in the idea write-up) to improve search and discovery—so you can more quickly find related ideas and add your vote where it counts.

More clarity on the status of what’s happening with your ideas

We’ve improved how we use statuses so you get a clearer, more consistent picture of where an idea stands. Going forward, statuses will align to two simple outcomes: Active or Closed. Standardization of how statuses are applied ensure the PeopleSoft community has a clearer, more consistent view of where each idea stands—whether it’s being evaluated, actively planned, in development, or closed out.

Active statuses (still in consideration or on the path to delivery)

  • Under Review – Voting Still Open: Oracle is considering the idea for the roadmap
  • In Progress: Oracle is actively working on the idea on the roadmap
  • Coming Soon: Oracle is planning to deliver the idea in the next Update Image or Tools Release
  • For Future Consideration: Ideas that may be considered for a future roadmap at Oracle’s discretion

Closed statuses (ideas that are delivered or no longer being pursued)

  • Delivered: Delivered in an Update Image or Tools Release/Patch
  • Partially Implemented: Only part of the idea was delivered, with no plans for the remainder
  • Already Offered: The idea was submitted after it was already delivered, or it relates to an idea previously delivered
  • Not Enough Interest: Typically older ideas with low votes or no activity over time
  • Not Considering: Oracle is not considering the idea for the roadmap
  • Duplicate: The idea duplicates another; Oracle may merge or transfer votes/content to the original Idea
  • Off Topic: Not an idea submission or opened in the wrong space (non-PeopleSoft idea)

This approach improves transparency in two important ways:

  • You’ll know which ideas are still “live” and where Oracle is in the evaluation to delivery lifecycle.
  • Closed doesn’t always mean “no”—for example, “Delivered” and “Already Offered” are positive closures that show your feedback has already made it into the product.

Momentum you can measure

The refreshed PeopleSoft Ideas Lab experience reflects strong execution and an ongoing commitment by Oracle that we are listening and delivering:

  • Over 100 ideas from the Ideas Lab delivered/implemented over the last year.
  • Over 140 ideas from the Ideas Lab on the roadmap planned for delivery within the next 12 to 18 months.
