Texting may have begun as a simple way to send short messages but today it has become a primary form of communication not only with family and friends but the companies that you connect with on a frequent basis. Your candidates are also looking for you to communicate with them via text messages.
Emails get lost in all of the clutter and are often not read for days but a text message is sure to be seen quickly increasing your chances of a speedy action. Today we offer the ability for the external candidates to receive automated text messages when registering, reminder of draft applications, and for job openings matching their saved searches.
When a candidate first agrees to receive text messages, the external candidate will be asked to acknowledge your terms and agreements using the Acknowledgement Framework. To provide an additional level of security, upon this acknowledgement, the candidate will then receive a one-time password to their mobile number to be keyed during the registration process.

Setting up texting is quite simple. First you need a Twilio account. Your organizations may already have one that is used for other purposes so check around. Next you determine the expiration time setting for the one time password. You can also create the text messages to be unique by Site.

Continual communication with the candidate is so important to a successful hiring campaign and the use of text messages is just one feature that can assist you.
