While conducting business activity Organizations need to requisition many items. Requesters add items to their shopping cart, but the items added may had been already ordered in the past. Is there a way for the requester to know if the item was already ordered and how long ago? 

New PeopleSoft Fluid Requisition Inquiry functionality now helps the requester decide whether the item is a reorder, remove the item from the shopping cart if reorder was not intended.

 

What is Previously Requisitioned?

Login as PeopleSoft requester. Navigate to Create Requisition page, the persistent cart will be visible on the right-hand side and will show Your cart is empty Please add items to the “shopping cart.”

Use the Search box to look for catalog items that you wish to add to the shopping cart. Drill down to the item detail using the item description hyperlink.

If this item has been previously ordered, the requester will see following informative hyperlink text-“Previously Requisitioned 07/01/24” which explains that this same item was requisitioned on 1st July2024.

When the requester clicks on the hyperlink, they will see which requisition was used to order the item before and shows the requisition line details page in a new window.  This page is read-only.

Other use of Fluid Requisition inquiry page

If the requester wants to view or inquire about multiple requisitions, then they can use the new Fluid Requisition inquiry page which opens the fluid requisitions in display only mode.  The new fluid inquiry replaces the older classic page, and it can easily be used from mobile devices.

The requester can navigate to Fluid Requisition Inquiry page in following ways:

In summary, the Fluid Requisition Inquiry page can help requesters to view details for requisitioned items and also give context while shopping to give requester a reference as to whether or not to reorder the item.
