PeopleSoft FSCM Update Image #56 has been generally available since Apr 2026, and it contains many important new functional enhancements.

Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update Manager.

If you haven’t heard what has been released as part of Update Image #56 here are some highlights:

FUNCTIONALITY ACROSS APPLICATIONS

Copy User Preferences

Added the Copy User Preferences feature to streamline preference management across users. Administrators can copy all FSCM product user preferences from one user to one or more users, simplifying setup and ensuring consistency. This improves efficiency and reduces manual configuration efforts.

Work Management Configuration Page Enhancements

Enhanced Work Management configuration page to search and filter data by Product and Link IDs.

Control Prompting in Page and Field Configurator

Enhanced Page and Field Configurator to add Prompt Overrides allowing administrators to change the record or view for a prompt field using standard page and field configurator criteria. In addition, event mapping will be created on Save, no longer requiring a separate action.

Trigger Questionnaires Automatically

Added the Application Generated event type in Questionnaire Framework that triggers the creation of questionnaires and notifies users in real time when transactions are saved.

Work Management Calendar Display

Enhanced Work Management date selection to use the PeopleTools Calendar instead of the browser’s native calendar. This change ensures that the date format and language are determined by PeopleSoft user preferences rather than browser settings, providing a consistent experience for all users.

General Ledger

Insights Dashboard User Guidance

Enhanced General Ledger Insights dashboards to provide additional user guidance and filtering accuracy. A note that high-volume searches may prevent all matching rows from being displayed is provided next to data tables. The Date Picker includes instructional text as to how journals are filtered and can be adjusted. Data filters are applied according to user preferences.

Reporting Only TimeSpans

Enhanced Timespans by adding a “Reporting Only” option, which allows you to designate specific TimeSpans for reporting purposes only. When a TimeSpan is configured as reporting only, you can include period 999 as an absolute period, which supports enhanced reporting capabilities. Regular TimeSpans (not marked as reporting only) continue to prevent the addition of period 999, ensuring data integrity for standard processing. This functionality enables greater flexibility and accuracy for financial reporting scenarios.

Payables

1099 Formats for IRIS

Added support for electronic filing of 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-G, and 1099-INT forms using the IRIS system. Users can generate a CSV file that can be manually uploaded to the IRIS portal. Users can also generate and transmit the XML file data to the IRIS REST API electronically through secure A2A (Application to Application) integration.

U.S. Federal PAM Payment Justification, PIID and FAIN

Enhanced the U.S. Federal PAM functionality by adding new Payment Justification, PIID, and FAIN fields to the Accounts Payable voucher. The PAM EFT layouts are also updated to include these fields for Federal outbound payment files.

Match Exceptions Insights Dashboard in Fluid Accounts Payable WorkCenter

Added the Match Exceptions Insights dashboard to the Fluid Accounts Payable WorkCenter.

Supplier Approval Enhancement

Added additional fields on the Supplier Fluid Approval page to help approvers perform approval tasks.

Payment Request Enhancements

Enhanced Payment Request activity guide by including additional fields on the Supplier pages.

Receivables

Bank Statement Reconciliation Status

Added the bank reconciliation status on multiple deposit/payment pages in Receivables.

Credit Balance Customer Statements

Enhanced statement processing by including an option to not generate any statement when a correspondence customer statement has zero balance.

Billing

Archive Templates for Billing Data

Added the Billing Archive process to provide a systematic way to archive historical billing transactions from production tables to archive/history tables. This enhancement leverages configurable templates and queries to move finalized and eligible billing data, helping to optimize database performance and storage. Archived data remains accessible for audit and reporting purposes through history tables, ensuring ongoing data availability while reducing the burden on live production tables.

Prevent Bill Finalization

Enhanced the Billing Finalization process by adding a new check box called “Error on Closed Period” on the Installation Options-Billing-Integration Options page, in the Accounting Date Edit Option section. This check box allows you to prevent the finalization of bills when the accounting date falls within a closed period, when the “Warning on Closed Period” option is also enabled. This enhancement provides more control over billing compliance by ensuring that bills cannot be finalized with closed accounting dates, reducing manual intervention, and downstream processing issues.

Display Number of Lines

Enhanced Billing pages to display the total number of line items on invoices, improving visibility and efficiency during billing operations. You can now view the line count on the Express Billing, Standard Billing-Line-Info 1, Review Billing Information-Details-Line-Info 1, and the Bill (Base Currency) Line-Info 1 pages. This enhancement provides quick access to key invoice details across multiple billing-related pages.

Commitment Control

Insights Dashboard User Guidance

Enhanced Commitment Control Insights dashboards to provide additional user guidance and filtering accuracy. A note that high-volume searches may prevent all matching rows from being displayed is provided next to data tables. The Date Picker includes instructional text as to how journals are filtered and can be adjusted. Data filters are applied according to user preferences.

Application Data Sets

Added multiple Application Data Set definitions to move Commitment Control setup data between environments using the Data Migration Workbench.

Asset Management

Prevent Transactions During Close Cycle

Enhanced Asset Management period close process to temporarily restricts asset transactions during the close cycle. This feature helps ensure data integrity and a smoother period closure by preventing disruptions and inconsistencies caused by mid-close transactions.

Asset Management Spreadsheet Upload

Enhanced Asset Management spreadsheet upload functionality to support bulk updates of non-financial asset fields such as location, custodian information, and comments. Users can now leverage a new “Non-Financial Field Updates” template in the upload interface, enabling efficient mass updates with support for effective dating and multiple data validations. The process also ensures data integrity by preventing blank fields from overwriting existing asset information.

Lease Administration

Straight-line Process Enhancement

Enhanced Lease Administration to run the straight-line schedule process for multiple Business Units simultaneously. Users can now select multiple BUs or all BUs accessible within their role with a single action. Additionally, new message logging has been introduced to get clear feedback on which BUs and leases have been processed after each run.

Add Hold Status for Fluid Requisition

Enhanced the fluid Create Requisition to allow requesters to put requisitions on hold from the Requisition Checkout page. This enables requesters to pause processing and prevent submission for approval or budget checking until the hold is removed. Requesters can also set requisitions on hold when creating them from external sources, using the Requisition Loader.

Adopt Tools Searchbar Widget for eProcurement Create Requisition

Adopted the PeopleTools Search bar widget for the fluid Create Requisition page. This enhancement streamlines the search experience and helps users find relevant items, by displaying results using search definitions for many item types such as catalogs, favorites, templates, and order sheets.

Allow Override of Requester when Fluid Requisition is in the Open Status

Enhanced the fluid Create Requisition to allow changes to the assigned requester on the Defaults and Checkout pages. If the requester has the required role action and the added requester has the same default currency, a requester change is allowed.

View All Attachment/Comments at once in Fluid Requisitions

Enhanced fluid Requisition to allow requesters and approvers to easily access and review all comments and attachments associated for a specific requisition in a single, consolidated view on the Requisition Details, Requisition Inquiry, or Pending Approvals pages.

Users can now quickly access supplier classification details in a new window based on their security permissions. A warning icon appears next to the link if any required certification is expired.

Supplier Contract Management

Digital Signature Enhancements

Enhanced Supplier Contracts Management to route imported Word XML documents for digital signature. This allows users to route a broader range of imported document types for e-signature supported by Adobe Sign or DocuSign. The system now validates file types upon routing and provides clear error messages if a document is not eligible for signing. This streamlines the signature process and increases flexibility for document management in Supplier Contracts Management.
