Today at Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle announced the newest PeopleSoft Innovators.  These 17 organizations are using the latest capabilities in PeopleSoft to drive measurable value for their organization – in areas ranging from running PeopleSoft in the Oracle Cloud (Infrastructure as a Service), to Fluid user interface adoption, to deploying newly delivered features rapidly with Selective Adoption, to eliminating customizations and embracing new configuration capabilities, and much more.

The PeopleSoft Innovators:

  • Aon, in conjunction with their partner Presence of IT, used Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and PeopleSoft Cloud Manager to ‘lift and shift’ a copy of Aon’s on-premise PeopleSoft production instance to quickly and easily create a new test environment, yielding a 4x performance improvement in their payroll runs compared with their on-premise environment.
  • Arizona State University Graduate College created a modern, mobile, user friendly Interactive Plan of Study to guide graduate students through their studies, combining delivered and custom capabilities built using PeopleSoft Fluid.
  • Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center removed customization with configuration tools like Page and Field Configurator and refactored others with capabilities like Event Mapping, thus enabling rapid selection and deployment of Fluid Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, pivot grids and analytics, related content, and more for their users.
  • CDW implemented PeopleSoft’s Fluid Guided Self Service in HCM for 6 transaction types, including custom transactions built using the same framework, and a Review Transactions Dashboard that allows all employees involved with a transaction to view and take action.
  • Clackamas County, Oregon deployed Classic Plus in conjunction with their PeopleTools 8.56 upgrade, and used Selective Adoption to deploy new functional capabilities in HCM, including Onboarding, Fluid Direct Deposit, Updateable Federal and State Withholding, Recruiting Analytics, and the Data Privacy framework.
  • Deakin University used Selective Adoption to deploy Fluid Direct Deposit, Fluid Leave Cancellation, the Data Privacy framework, and more, and incorporated live data on Fluid tiles such as cut-off dates and leave balances.
  • Domino’s used PeopleSoft Fluid to create a custom To Do List for employee self service, including the capture of acknowledgements and electronic signatures, electronic reminders to team members, tracking of outstanding items, and more, enabling communication and collaboration with a dispersed workforce from any device. They have been working closely with their partner, Sierra-Cedar, since 2015 to implement PeopleSoft value-added solutions and innovations such as these.
  • Hackensack Meridian Health, in conjunction with their partners Sierra-Cedar, SpearMC and Appsian, consolidated HR activities from disparate systems onto PeopleSoft for all 33,000 team members, deployed Fluid HCM Employee and Manager Self Service, a two-factor authentication solution, and implemented Elasticsearch.
  • Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. created a custom banner to display system wide alerts and notifications to all PeopleSoft users across Fluid and Classic pages, as well as an administration page to schedule those notifications in advance.
  • Lone Star College implemented Oracle Management Cloud’s Application Performance Monitoring solution, providing detailed insights into how individual PeopleSoft pages and components are performing and specifically how the system is used, so tuning efforts can be targeted to improve the end user experience.
  • Mutual of Omaha significantly reduced customizations, deployed Fluid for key functions like Approvals and Expenses, created custom Fluid Dashboards for areas such as Procurement Spend, used configuration and customization management tools like Page and Field Configurator and Event Mapping, applied branding using PeopleSoft Macro Sets, and used Selective Adoption to rapidly analyze the contents of new update images, prepare business cases for deploying new features, and updating test automation.
  • Navy Federal Credit Union, in conjunction with their partner Sierra-Cedar, adopted Fluid Candidate Gateway, a Fluid dashboard, and a third party analytics tool to provide insights into candidate behavior, enabling updates to the application process that yielded a direct increase in candidates completing applications.
  • Oxford Global Resources, replaced a highly customized Expenses implementation, moved customizations to configurations and deployed a largely vanilla solution with Fluid Expenses, including Twilio integration to submit receipts via text message, enabling critical efficiencies for their highly mobile workforce.
  • Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, in conjunction with their partner Huron Consulting, replaced a third party SaaS talent acquisition solution with PeopleSoft Recruiting, including Fluid Candidate Gateway, deployed using a two-stack approach.
  • San Joaquin County, in conjunction with their partner Graviton Consulting, rapidly selected and deployed new functional capabilities for PeopleSoft Absence Management, including enhanced integration with PeopleSoft Time and Labor, enhanced Check Eligibility, enhanced Approvals, and more, resulting in improved efficiency for their end users and administrators.
  • Syracuse University, in conjunction with their partner Sierra-Cedar, retired significant customizations and outdated processes with an implementation of PeopleSoft HCM Time and Labor, utilizing the Automated Workflow Engine and new Fluid forms used in conjunction with Manager Self Service and Company Directory.
  • Weyerhaeuser Company, in conjunction with their partner Presence of IT, eliminated a complex customization with the deployment of PeopleSoft HCM Guided Self Service, in addition to deploying Employee and Manager Self Service, Employee Snapshot and more.
