PeopleSoft HCM Image 51 was delivered on January 31, 2025. As you have come to normally expect, there are new features available in almost every area of HCM. Some of these are influenced directly from your request on the Ideas Lab or may be uptake items inspired by strategy and development. We have exciting features that you will want to add to your roadmap.
Approval Insight for Managers
Check out the new Approval Insights dashboard which provides real-time visibility into approval requests. It enables managers to identify bottlenecks, prioritize urgent tasks, and notify individuals, thereby improving organizational efficiency.

Change Tracking Notifications in Page and Field Configurator
Notification Composer is the new notification paradigm in the PeopleSoft ecosystem. Page and Field Configurator (PFC) has been enhanced to support notifying individuals when certain changes occur in the application using Notification Composer. Leveraging Notification Composer means you can send an e-mail, In-App, or text notification when certain criteria are met such as when a field is changed to a particular value or when a particular threshold of change is detected. This provides the ability to monitor changes that occur in the application more closely.

Contract Data
The Contract Clause field has been increased to 10 characters. In addition, Drop Zones have been added to the Contract Data and Contract Type transactions.
Remote Worker
In Image 51, we provide two new features for Remote Worker. The Restrict Remote Worker Type by Job Code/Position was based on an Idea’s Lab request. Customers asked the Remote Worker Type requested by the Employee to be limited based on Job Code or Position data eligibility. This prevents the employee from requesting a remote working type that is not available for them. For instance, if the Job Code only allows for Hybrid Remote Work, then the employee can only request to work Hybrid. Customers can set up the eligibility on the Job Code Profile and Fluid Position Data Page.

In Image 48, we provided more flexibility for the Employee and Manager to modify the end date of the Remote Worker Request. As an enhancement to this capability, we have added Restrict Retroactive Requests for Remote Worker which allows the Administrator to configure how far back the request can be updated by the Employee or the Manager.

OnBoarding – Allow Multiple Participants in OnBoarding
We offer multiple participants in Offboarding and now we bring that functionality to onboarding and preboarding. This means that you can assign tasks to managers or other roles within the organization within the same activity guide that the employee is using to complete their onboarding tasks. For example, assign the manager a checklist of items such as ordering equipment and ensuring the employee has the essentials needed to be successful.
Recruiting Solutions
The second phase of the ability to Capture Additional Applicant Information During Job Offer Process has been released in Image 51. This allows the Recruiter to configure the capture of National ID, Date of Birth, and Driving License information during the Job Offer. The configuration is found on the Recruiting Installation – Applicants page and provides the Recruiter with global capture of data.

The Recruiter can also override the global setting at the job offer level which provides more flexibility to tailor the collection based on the type of job.

Absence Management
In Image 51, we enhanced the View Requests page to allow absence managers and employees to Download the Absence Request History to Excel. This is an enhancement that our customers had requested in the Ideas Lab.

Time and Labor
Time and Labor introduced several enhancements to the Fluid Timesheet to improve usability and streamline time entry.
Punch Enter Time Page Enhancements
- A new configuration option allows administrators to control the placement of the Add and Delete Row buttons. Previously, these buttons were positioned at the end of each row. With this update, organizations can choose to display them at the beginning of the row or in both the front and end for improved accessibility.

- Bulk delete functionality has been added, enabling self-service users to select multiple punch time rows and delete them at once, simplifying the process.

Enter Time Page Enhancements (Elapsed and Punch)
- The button layout has been redesigned with a button bar to reduce page clutter and enhance usability.
- The primary action remains readily accessible with a single click.
- Secondary actions have been moved to an overflow menu, ensuring a cleaner and more intuitive interface.

- These changes apply to both elapsed and punch users, improving the overall time entry experience.
Performance Management – Instructional Text for Documents at the Section and Step Level in Performance
With the release of fluid Performance Management, we originally moved the instructional text off the main page and put it under the action menu. After hearing from customers, we have created a configuration option to move the instructional text from the action menu to the page.
Benefits
Providing better communication with Employees during Benefits Open Enrollment was a Customer Focus Group request. The ability to Notify Employees Who Fail to Submit Benefits Enrollment for Life Events and Open Enrollment was created. A new process, Generate Benefits Notifications, was built to send notifications to employees who fail to submit their enrollment, have an error in their elections, or change their previous submitted request without resubmitting.

Payroll for North America
We have enhanced the Tax Data section on the U.S. wage statements for PDF, Mobile, and Administrator View to reflect employees’ federal, state, and local taxes stored in Update Employee Tax Data when generating advice and checks.
For example, U.S. Federal Form W-4 will now dynamically reflect the 2020 or later or 2019 or earlier format on the U.S. wage statements based on employee tax data used for the paycheck processing.

Global Payroll and Absence Management
The fluid Formula Designer is a free-form editor that enables users to create and update formulas. This tool includes a Type Ahead feature, which facilitates the selection of various element types, keywords, and functions during the formulation of new or the modification of existing formulas. Additionally, it permits the copying and pasting of formula text, presents multiple error messages upon validation if errors are present, and highlights the erroneous row when it is clicked.

The Rapid Calculation feature facilitates the Global Payroll and Absence calculation, and the option to review the results and payee messages using the Rapid Calc button. It is displayed in any component defined in the Rapid Calculation setup.

Global Payroll
Also delivered in Image 51 is the Drop Zone functionality for Global Payroll pages This includes Maintain Bank Accounts, Add Bank Information, Payee Assignment by Element, Element Assignment by Payee, One Time (Positive Input), Specify Net Pay Elections, and Add Deduction Recipients.
