PeopleSoft FSCM Update Image #49 has been generally available since 07 Dec 2023, and it contains many important new functional enhancements.
Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update Manager.
If you haven’t heard what has been released as part of Update Image #49 here are some highlights:
FUNCTIONALITY ACROSS APPLICATIONS
Notification Composer Framework
Enterprise Components delivered the Notification Composer component, which provides a centralized framework to create and manage all your notifications within PeopleSoft applications.
Notification Composer streamlines multiple notification methods and frameworks into a single approach.
Notification Composer requires PeopleTools 8.59.19 or higher and sends email, text, and in-app notifications through the PeopleTools Push Notification framework. The framework allows you to configure how messages are sent and whether they are mandatory. It also allows individual users to choose whether to receive a message and how they want to receive it.
Notification Composer enables you to organize notification data by factors such as Business Process and Notification Category, and to associate it to the PeopleTools Notification framework using the PeopleTools Notification Name.
Preferred Name
PeopleSoft enhanced the personal data record to include Preferred Names and Display Name, which allows your organization to honor employee requests to display and print a preferred name rather than their legal name. The personal data record is accessed from multiple FSCM navigations. Use the Installation Options – Overall page to indicate that you want to use this feature.
Multiple Attachment Limit
PeopleSoft provided an enhancement for each product to indicate how many attachments are allowed for each upload task. If you try to load more than the Attachment Limit specified on the Installation Options – Multiple Attachments page, an error message states the number of attachments that can be uploaded in a single upload. Multiple upload actions may be needed to load attachments if there are more than allowed in one task.
Page and Field Configurator Enhancements
Enhanced the Page and Field Configurator to include Search Pages and Prompts. You can modify a label, hide a field, disable entry into a field, make a field required, or have the system automatically default a value into a field.
You can also use system variables such as Mode and Role as criteria to create separate views for different scenarios.
Migrating Forms Data with ADS
Added the capability to migrate form design data using delivered Application Data Sets.

Notification Composer Framework in Billing
Delivered Notification Composer framework for Billing Invoices and for Credit Invoice approvals.
Multiple Attachments and Attachment Limit in Billing
PeopleSoft Billing has enhanced the Supporting Documentation page to use the Attachment Framework, which allows one or more attachments to be added at once.
Letter of Credit Link in Billing WorkCenter
Enhanced the Billing Fluid WorkCenter by adding a Letter of Credit Pending Draw link to the My Work section.
eBill Pay tile for User Preferences
Added the My Preferences tile for self-service users to quickly access their eBill Payment preferences.
Expenses
Denied Expense Report Details for Approvers
Enhanced the Pending Approvals – Expense Report page and the Expense Report – Summary page to display prepaid expense types and denied lines. In addition, the Expense Report includes a Status column. These enhancements allow approvers to view more information when approving an expense report and allows employees to view denied lines.
Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for External Consumption
Added six REST APIs for external consumption. The six are: By Creation Date, By Denied Line, By Last Five, By Sheet Name, By Status, and Transaction Details.
Delegate or Proxy User Page Flow
Enhanced the Create Expense Report page flow for delegates or proxy users who create expense reports on behalf of another employee. A new selection page is added to the beginning of the page flow for the delegate to select themselves or another employee before accessing the Expense Report page. This avoids the possibility of creating expense reports for the wrong person.
User Preferred Display Name for Expenses
Enhanced the personal data record to include Preferred Names and Display Name, which allows your organization to honor employee requests to display and print a preferred name rather than their legal name.

Delivered Notification Composer framework for all Travel and Expenses approvals.
General Ledger
Journal Workflow Enhancements
Enhanced the Create/Update Journal Entries – Approval page so that you can view the approval chain, approval comments, approval history, and denied comments. Denied comments are included in the email that is sent to the user who created the journal.
Also, enhanced the Create/Update Journal Entries page and the Process Request Parameters page to allow you to automatically submit a journal to the approver if the journal passes the edit check.
Spreadsheet Upload Enhancements
Enhanced the Spreadsheet Upload to have the system perform a budget check when loading journals. Also added hover-over text to icons and other cosmetic changes.
Multiple Attachment(s) and Attachment Limit in General Ledger Fluid and Classic
Enhanced the Attachment feature in General Ledger to use the Attachment Framework, which allows one or more attachments to be added to Fluid and Classic pages. The system displays and error message if you try to load more than the number of attachments specified on the Installation Options – Multiple Attachment page.

Delivered Notification Composer framework for multiple General Ledger notifications.
General Ledger notifications include Business Process Weaver, Process Status-Requester, ChartField Request Error-Requester, Financial Structure Request Completion-Requester, and Financial Structure Request Error-Requester.

Enhanced Payables for the U.S. Department of Treasury G-Invoicing system with additional capabilities to support the new functionality called 7600EZ for direct invoices that are $10,000 or less.

Added the option for approvers to view the invoice image during the approval process if imaging integration is setup.
Payment Metrics Insights Dashboard
Enhanced the AP Payment Metrics Insights dashboard to provide additional details. You can also select multiple reporting currencies for transaction amounts.

Requester Mass Change
