OCI Disconnected – Develop Once, Deploy Anywhere
Oracle Private Cloud Appliance is a rack-scale engineered system that delivers Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) compatible compute, storage, and networking on-premises. It lets customers rapidly deploy cloud-compatible applications, middleware, and workloads using built-in automation in an OCI-like environment that is disconnected from the public cloud. Private Cloud Appliance can be directly connected to Oracle Exadata platforms to create full-stack environments with the lowest latency and highest performance between the tiers. For organizations with moderate Oracle Database requirements, Private Cloud Appliance can also directly connect to Oracle Database Appliance to achieve similar low-latency connectivity.
What’s new with Oracle Private Cloud Appliance X10?

Private Cloud Appliance X10 delivers enhanced performance and scalability across compute, storage, and networking so organizations can run middleware and application workloads in an efficient and cost-effective manner. It offers the same APIs, CLI, SDK, Toolkits and Management tools as OCI, enabling customers to develop applications once and deploy them either on-premises or in the public cloud. While enabling customers to run their cloud-ready application stacks in their data centers, Private Cloud Appliance also enables them to exercise complete control over their data to meet stringent data residency and security requirements.
What’s new with Oracle Private Cloud Appliance X10 Infrastructure?
Private Cloud Appliance X10 features 4th Generation AMD EPYC™ processors, enabling customers to utilize 552 to 2208 processor cores in a single rack with the capability to expand to 6624 cores in a multi-rack configuration. As a result, the Private Cloud Appliance X10 offers 3x the number of processor cores and 2x the amount of memory than the previous generation. It also lets customers use block, object and file storage services. It supports both high capacity storage scaling from 150TB to 3.65PBs or high performance storage up to 1.2PB. Customers can flexibly scale compute and storage resources independently to meet their specific requirements.

Directly connecting with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance

Private Cloud Appliance can also be directly connected to a combination of up to 16 servers on Exadata Database Machine, Exadata Cloud@Customer, or Oracle Database Appliance systems, providing up to 800 Gbps of dedicated bandwidth. This unique capability enables Private Cloud Appliance customers to bypass their data center networks and achieve up to 2x better performance between their application and database tiers,. Customers also benefit from the enhanced scalability and single vendor support in multi-tier deployments on Private Cloud Appliance and Exadata and Database Appliance.
Summary
Private Cloud Appliance X10 is the best on-premises platform for application and middleware, providing you with high scalability, performance and availability for crucial. You get workload portability between private and public clouds by using the APIs, SDK, and management tools found in OCI, letting you deliver consistent developer and user experiences no matter where your workloads run. And with direct connectivity with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance, you get the lowest latency connection to optimize mutli-tier application deployments.
