The Oracle Linux and Virtualization team congratulates AMD for the recently released AMD EPYC™ 7003 Series CPUs, which includes one of the most powerful server processor in the world, the EPYC 7763. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AMD teams have worked together for several years to bring high-performance solutions, based on the 1st and 2nd Generation EPYC processors, to our mutual customers and we’re doing the same with the latest offerings from Oracle and AMD.
The Oracle Linux team is also working with our hardware (HCL) partners to qualify their systems with the new AMD EPYC processors running Oracle Linux. We’re pleased to acknowledge Dell EMC’s PowerEdge R6525 and R7525, with the 3rd Generation AMD EPYC processors, have completed certification of Oracle Linux with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK).
Additionally, the Oracle Cloud Compute E4 platform runs Oracle Linux on the 3rd Generation AMD EPYC processors in regions around the world to extend its flexible virtual machine and bare metal compute offerings.
Customers can now benefit from all of the unique capabilities of Oracle Linux on these new AMD processors either on-premises, or in the cloud.
