Next: Intelligent ERP

After Digital, the next wave of ERP innovation is building around intelligence. Like Digital, this Intelligent wave will comprise of different technologies like Cloud, Autonomous Systems, and Enterprise Automation. We want to follow the same pattern that we did with our digital platform – by enabling you to leverage these technologies to help build intelligence into your JD Edwards-lead business processes.

Cloud is a combination of the platform along with new applications and services utilizing embedded intelligence to provide real-time insights. Timing is critical when making business decisions in this fast-paced, ever-changing landscape and embedded intelligence can help provide that edge. A good example is matching invoice line items with the right account codes and automatically flagging vendors that offer discounts for early payment. These proactive recommendations to a finance team can not only save them money but also allow them to shift their focus to other, more strategic activities. JD Edwards’ customers are empowered to run their EnterpriseOne 9.2 instance in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and take advantage of hybrid cloud applications. Cloud is your ally on your digital transformation and intelligent applications journey.

Autonomous Systems eliminate the need for human intervention, thereby eliminating human error. Leveraging autonomous systems that are self-monitoring, self-updating, self-repairing, and self-tuning can enable your IT staff to shift out of maintenance mode and into innovation mode. Our customers can leverage the Autonomous Database, bring your own licenses for Oracle Technology Foundation, and adopt Autonomous Linux.

Enterprise Automation is a business-wide approach to recognize, analyze, and implement continuous improvement to streamline your enterprise. Building upon the current wave of process automation, we see organizations expanding their focus beyond manual tasks and data capture to identify broader based automation opportunities for improving entire process cycles such as Order-to-Cash or Procure-to-Pay. From a JD Edwards point of view, this is all about helping our customers capitalize on the vast amount of data that they are accumulating and realize greater value from it by automating the identification of roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies addressable through a combination of configuration, orchestration, and personalization.
