23.10

Welcome to the 23.10 release of Oracle Integration. This release brings a plethora of new features, so without further ado, let’s look at them!

Integration

Healthcare – HL7 Support via new Healthcare action

23.10

23.10

We have added a new Healthcare action to the OIC integration developer palette for use in your OIC flows. The new healthcare action is essentially a bidirectional adapter that provides runtime support for translation of HL7 messages into native OIC payloads which can then be manipulated and mapped like any other payload in OIC. Correspondingly, for the outbound use case, the healthcare action can be used to convert an OIC payload with the structure of a HL7 message into a native HL7 file ready for transport to an external system.

The supporting MLLP Adapter provides bi-directional wire transport support for HL7 messages over TCP.

This new Healthcare action will be initially available via Feature Flag.

OCI object storage action enhancements

  • Support for List Objects –

23.10

Project Enhancements

Projects are the base for OIC Accelerators, out ot the box, upgrade safe integration solutions.

The 23.10 enhancements include –

  • Extended accelerator enhancements
  • Delivery of restricted accelerators
  • Ability to restrict all invokes in integrations in extended accelerator projects with the Allow extensions exclusively option. This option restrict all invokes and allow just one invoke to be extended.

Event publishing and subscription enhancements

  • Support for large payloads
  • Support for subscription retention on deactivation of “subscriber” integrations.

Please see this blog post for more details.

XSL:for-each-group support

  • Support for the for-each-group construct in the mapper

Check out the detailed blog post here for more details on how to use this construct.

Parallel Branch Enhancements

Parallel Branch now supports the B2B action,

23.10

and also the new Healthcare action.

Private endpoint support for Oracle Fusion Applications adapters

The initial 23.10 support is for outbound requests to Fusion, inbound support e.g. ERP Business Events, will come later.

23.10

Observability Enhancements

More detailed endpoint metrics in OIC Activity Stream.

23.10

Replay REST Adapter / AS2 Adapter Instances

This is especially interesting in the context of B2B

23.10

One can now “replay” the flow from OIC Observability –> Instances –

23.10

File Server

Connect to File Server using a hostname.

Now everyone can connect to File Server using File Server’s hostname or IP address. A previous update provided this capability only to those who enabled File Server after the 23.08 update.

23.10

B2B

Reprocess capability for B2B transactions

You can currently resubmit failed integrations using B2B for Oracle Integration. However, B2B environments typically require the need to resubmit down to the transactions level rather than just the integration level. With this release, you can now reprocess down to the B2B transaction level. You can reprocess both inbound and outbound B2B messages. Reprocessing is applicable for both failed and successful transactions.See the “Replay” section above.
