The start of a new year is a great time to look ahead and prepare for what’s coming next, and there’s a lot to be excited about in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM in 2025. This year we will continue evolving Oracle Cloud HCM to address the changing needs of modern workplaces, and you’ll find specific recommendations below on how you can take advantage of these innovations. They include AI agent adoption, enhanced UX for Oracle Learning, and Oracle Skills (which is now included in your Core HR subscription). Adopting these three capabilities can quickly boost your experience with Oracle Cloud HCM.

AI agents

AI is going mainstream for HR teams in 2025 for one simple reason: it can increase efficiency and help you deliver higher service levels to employees and HR’s business stakeholders. If you haven’t already begun using AI features, we suggest getting started with embedded “AI Assist” functions and AI agents that can help you with benefits, hiring, shift scheduling, and compensation. They each provide concrete business value. For example, a benefits agent can offload the handling of up to 90% of questions asked by employees of benefits administrators during enrollment. And keep in mind that AI capabilities in Fusion Apps, including Oracle Cloud HCM, are available at no additional charge.

There are multiple ways to get started. One option is to roll out AI to smaller groups first, like HR and technical staff. That way you—and the AI—can learn before you adopt it more widely. Note that in some cases, Redwood UX is a prerequisite to AI adoption in Oracle Cloud HCM (here is a handy step-by-step Redwood adoption plan for HCM). You may want to consider joining our GenAI Innovator Program for best practices and networking opportunities. Oracle HCM and SCM customers can also participate in our AI agent early adopter program.

Oracle Learning gets Redwood

For the last several years, we’ve been rolling out the Redwood UX across Fusion HCM with an emphasis on upleveling the employee experience, including self-service functions. Now we’re bringing Redwood to HR pros, starting with Oracle Learning.

The new Redwood content management UX in Oracle Learning makes it significantly easier to create, upload, and publish content. So making courses—and distributing them—is much faster for administrators. The new Redwood UX is an option alongside the existing one, so HR teams can use both simultaneously to learn incrementally. For more details, see “Managing Self-Paced Learning Redwood Experience.”

Taking advantage of Dynamic Skills

As HR organizations move away from rigid, position-based employee models towards a skills-focused approach based on expertise, we’re moving with them. Your Core HR subscription now includes Dynamic Skills. Dynamic Skills is available in over 30 languages. And as of Release 25A it includes four AI agents that help:

  • Set up skills categories
  • Evaluate workforce skills
  • Assign skills to workers
  • Evaluate the skills workers need to be successful

These AI agents make it easy to set up and get started using Dynamic Skills, giving your HR team the tools needed to go beyond position-based approaches. You can get an overview of Dynamic Skills here.

Summary

These three concrete recommendations can help Oracle Cloud HCM customers make the most of their subscriptions in 2025 and position themselves to take advantage of upcoming innovations. Later in 2025 we’ll share other announcements aimed at helping you do even more with AI agents. So stay tuned and watch for upcoming documentation of our product development investment priorities.
