To give you a single place to keep up with Exadata technical news, we'll post Exadata System Software releases here on blogs.oracle.com/exadata as soon as they are available.

This post details the December 2023 releases.

Exadata System Software 23.1.9.0.0 Update is now generally available.

Exadata System Software 23.1.x is the recommended release to get the latest functionality

Exadata 23.1.9.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of the 23.1.x release. It contains the following:

  1. Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 23.1.8.0.0 released in November 2023
  2. Latest Ksplice uptrack updates for Oracle Linux 7 and Oracle Linux 8 with critical and security updates
  3. Updated ILOM 5.0 firmware on X7-2, X8-2, X9-2 and X10-2 servers with the latest important fixes and security updates

Exadata System Software 22.1.18.0.0 Update is now generally available.

Exadata System Software 22.1.x is recommended for all systems to get the latest bug fixes and security fixes.

Exadata 22.1.18.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of the 22.1.x release. It contains the following:

  1. Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 22.1.17.0.0 released in November 2023
  2. Latest Ksplice Uptrack updates for Oracle Linux 7 with critical and security updates
  3. Updated ILOM 5.0 firmware on X7-2, X8-2, and X9-2 servers with the latest important fixes and security updates
