This post details the February 2023 releases.
Exadata System Software 22.1.8.0.0 Update is now generally available.
Exadata System Software 22.1.x is recommended for all systems to get the latest functionality, latest bug fixes, and latest security fixes.
Exadata 22.1.8.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of the 22.1.x release. It contains the following:
- Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 22.1.7.0.0 released in January 2023
- Latest Linux Kernel Update for Oracle Linux 7 with critical and security updates
- Updated Ethernet Card firmware on X9M Database servers

Exadata System Software 21.2.21.0.0 Update is now generally available.
The final proactive Exadata 21.2 release will be May 2023. All systems should update to the latest Exadata 22.1 release.
Exadata 21.2.21.0.0 is a maintenance release that adds critical bug fixes and security fixes on top of 21.2.x releases. It contains the following:
- Exadata Software updates for important bugs discovered after 21.2.20.0.0 released in January 2023
- Latest Linux Kernel Update for Oracle Linux 7 with critical and security updates
- Updated Ethernet Card firmware on X9M Database servers
