Introduction
As period close nears, many enterprises impose restrictions on manual adjustment journals. After a specific business day or cutoff date, journals require an additional review and approval by a senior manager or designated team. The policy permits reconciliation and consolidation activities to commence without preventing exceptional and essential balance adjustments.
This Cloud Customer Connect post illustrates a BPM Worklist configuration that sends journals for an additional level of approval if submitted or approved after an accounting period’s cutoff date. The approach relies on BPM Worklist rules that compare a date & time stored in a descriptive flexfield (DFF) with today’s date & time.
