Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Cloud Manager Release 24.1.1 is now available, and includes important new features and enhancements as detailed below.
What’s New?
- Support for Oracle US Government Cloud (OC2)
- You can now use Cloud Manager in Oracle US Government Cloud (OC2) regions as well as commercial regions. Note that OC2 support is only available for EBS Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c.
- One-Click Provisioning Capability for Fresh Installations
- One-Click Provisioning has been enhanced to provide a choice of a fresh installation in addition to a Vision demo installation.
- Option to Back Up Environments Created Using One-Click Provisioning
- You can now take backups of environments created using the One-Click Provisioning feature, and subsequently use Advanced Provisioning to provision advanced topologies from these backups.

The EBS database has yet to be certified to run with the DBFIPS_140 database initialization parameter set to ‘true’. Therefore, when EBS Cloud Manager is used to provision an environment, the DBFIPS_140 parameter is set to ‘false’. This restriction applies to EBS environments provisioned from either customer backups or seeded backups.
The planned certification of EBS with the DBFIPS_140 parameter set to ‘true’ is in progress. When that certification is completed, Cloud Manager is planned to work with this parameter set to ‘true’. We will update this blog article accordingly in due course.
Where Can I Obtain the Latest EBS Cloud Manager?
This depends on whether you are already using Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager.
- To install EBS Cloud Manager for the first time, follow the instructions to Implement Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager in Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager Guide.
- To update an existing EBS Cloud Manager installation, follow the instructions to Update Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager to the Latest Version.
