Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Cloud Manager Release 23.3.1 is now available, and includes key new features and enhancements as detailed below.

Important update: If you have installed Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager Release 23.3.1 or the follow-on release 23.3.1.1, you should upgrade to Release 23.3.1.2 as soon as possible to take advantage of critical fixes. This can be done by running the selfUpdate.pl utility.

What’s New?

  • Environment Refresh
    • You can use the new Refresh feature to replace (from a backup) both the database contents and applications code in the target environment, while preserving the target environment’s infrastructure and topology. This feature is supported for EBS Release 12.2 environments that use Oracle Database 19c.
  • Lifecycle Policies for Backups
    • New policies for backups allow you to:
      • Switch the storage tier assignment for a specific backup from Standard to Infrequent Access.
      • Enable automatic deletion of backups when they reach a certain age.
      • Enable auto-tiering.
    • For more information about storage tier properties, see Understanding Storage Tiers.
  • Support for Network Security Groups
    • An enhancement to Network Profiles now offers you the option to predefine Network Security Groups to establish Security Rules, as an alternative to Security Lists.
  • Support for Oracle Linux 8
    • You now have the option to deploy new environments (including environments provisioned from a backup) with Oracle Linux 8. In addition, lifecycle management activities such as cloning, backup/restore, and refresh all support Oracle Linux 8.

Where Can I Obtain the Latest EBS Cloud Manager?

This depends on whether you are already using Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager.
