What’s New in Oracle Stream Analytics 19.1.0.0.2?

 

The Oracle Stream Analytics 19.1.0.0.2 patch update has the following new features: 

New Sources

  • Oracle GoldenGate – Native Connection Object
  • OCI Streaming Service
  • Oracle Advanced Queue (AQ)

New Targets

  • Oracle Coherence
  • OCI Streaming Service
  • Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud
  • Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing

New Reference Sources

  • Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud
  • Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing
  • MySQL Database

New Data Patterns:

  • Current And Previous Pattern - automatically correlates the current and previous events
  • Delay Pattern - delays delivering the event to a downstream node in the pipeline for a specified number of seconds
  • Row Window Snapshot - dumps entire window contents to the downstream node on the arrival of a new event.  Window capacity can be limited to a specific maximum number of events that a window can hold.
  • Time Window Snapshot - dumps entire window contents to the downstream nodes on the arrival of a new event. An event in the time window expires after a specific time range.

  • Secure Kafka
  • Kerberos

New Scalability Features:

  • Backpressure: Backpressure is Spark's way to ensure the stability of the streaming application, which means the streaming application receives data only as fast as it can process. This feature also ensures not to break a pipeline for a higher volume of incoming data than it can handle.
  • Remote Runtime choice of Execution Engine: You can now configure remote execution engines for the pipeline line. It could be 
    •  Oracle Big Data Service
    • Yarn
    • Spark
