Building on this momentum, the Oracle GoldenGate team is proud to introduce the general availability of Oracle GoldenGate for Distributed Applications and Analytics (GoldenGate for DAA) 26ai. This latest release delivers advanced capabilities for seamless data synchronization across heterogeneous, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments—empowering operational, analytical, and distributed applications.
New source and target technologies:
OCI Object Storage with Apache Iceberg:
Starting with GoldenGate for DAA 26ai, you can now configure Apache Iceberg replication with OCI Object Storage. GoldenGate for DAA leverages the S3 endpoint of OCI Object Storage for connectivity. For configuration details, please refer to the Oracle GoldenGate for DAA Apache Iceberg documentation.
Google Managed Kafka Service for Apache Kafka:
Google Managed Kafka Service for Apache Kafka is a fully managed service on Google Cloud, allowing you to run Apache Kafka without the need to manage infrastructure, scaling, or maintenance. This service is now certified as both a source and target with GoldenGate for DAA 26ai. Existing GoldenGate for DAA Kafka replicat and extract processes are fully compatible and can be used alongside the Google Managed Kafka Service. Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams:
Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams is a real-time data ingestion and streaming service that captures, processes, and routes event data from multiple sources into Microsoft Fabric for analytics. With GoldenGate for DAA 26ai, Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams is now certified as both a source and a target. Existing GoldenGate for DAA Kafka replicat and extract processes are fully compatible and can be used with Microsoft Fabric Eventstreams. Amazon S3 Tables:
Amazon S3 Tables is a managed table abstraction on Amazon S3 that provides optimized storage, metadata management, and performance for analytics workloads on structured data. Amazon S3 Tables is certified as target with GoldenGate for DAA 26ai. Existing Apache Iceberg replicat with Rest Catalog can be used together with Amazon S3 Tables. New graphical user experience
To deliver a more productive user experience, GoldenGate for DAA 26ai streamlines setup and administration with enhanced workflows and intuitive interfaces for configuration, management, and troubleshooting. This release also updates the graphical user experience for building replications, enabling more automated configurations and greater visibility into operational data.
Auto Schema Evolution (Preview)
With GoldenGate for DAA 26ai, we’re announcing the preview availability of Auto Schema Evolution for Snowflake target. Auto Schema Evolution configuration automatically propagates source schema changes to target tables improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention. Enhancements
- Azure Synapse handler now supports Microsoft Entra ID authentication for Azure Synapse.
- Google BigQuery Storage Write Handler now supports Apache Iceberg tables in Google BigQuery.
- Apache Iceberg Handler REST Catalog configuration file can now be encrypted.
- Amazon S3 handler now supports multipart uploads to S3, enabling the replication of files larger than 5 GB per file.
