The last 5-7 years have been very interesting and exciting in the domain of Identity & Access Management (IAM). IAM’s mindshare has dramatically increased with the CISO’s and also the CIO’s. There is growing acceptance that cloud has obliterated corporate network boundaries and the security model now needs to evolve from a perimeter-based defense to an intelligent, risk driven Identity based governance approach. The migration of critical ERP applications like Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, as well as the adaption of Oracle Fusion Apps, HCM etc. are also causing customers to rethink their identity strategy. Combine this with the number of breaches that have originated from insider threats and compromised credentials – and now we need a context driven, Zero Trust approach for access management as well.

webcast

Every other week, we (Oracle and Kapstone) meet customers who are either a) Looking to understand how to build their identity strategy with ERP, Fusion Apps and Multi-cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP) platforms OR b) Trying to plan how to take their existing IAM investment and move to the next level where they can minimize their maintenance overhead while providing the ability to rapidly onboard new applications and gain greater visibility into the cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and legacy platforms.

In all these cases, our advice to our customers is simple – the need to standardize on a Cloud based IAM/IGA platform that is capable of successfully leveraging your existing on-premise IAM investment and building further on it. At the same time, the new IAM platform should be agile, intelligent, and analytics driven thereby meeting your current and future needs.

Oracle and Kapstone together provide a Cloud based, Intelligent, Agile and risk driven IAM platform. Many of Oracle’s existing IAM customers are making the transition to this next generation IAM platform. Our product teams provide various utilities that help to ensure a seamless, risk free migration to the Next Gen IAM platform. The power of Oracle Identity Cloud Service, Kapstone Provisioning Gateway and Kapstone Intelligent Identity platform helps ensure that all aspects of IAM like access management, MFA, risk profiling, Role based identity automation, user certification, user request and approval workflows, custom UI requirements etc, are met through a modular approach.

Oracle and Kapstone- Unified,Intelligent Identity Platform

Customers are able to manage their complete hire to retire lifecycle, along with Zero trust driven user application access through the OCI platform and its associated PaaS services. Through this Next Gen IAM platform, customers are experiencing various levels of automation and efficiency in their systems. For one of our customers the simple use case of managing user identities and providing secure MFA access across the Fusion Apps HCM/ERP apps, Taleo, NetSuite, and Sales Cloud platform was critical. Whereas with another of our customers, the complex requirement of applying AI and ML to provide intelligent, risk driven access request advisor as well as real time application access control (Password-less, MFA) was achieved through this platform.

We have also transformed and simplified the user experience by integrating with your Slack or Messenger tools to simplify activities like profile updates, access request, access tracking and access approval.

The next few years are exciting as we continue to work with our customers and guide them in making the transformation towards an agile, intelligent, adaptive Identity governance and access management platform.

In our webcast, we’ll take a look at how to use Identity Cloud Service and Kapstone to together provide a Zero Trust environment for your applications.
