With that in mind, we’re excited to announce the launch of OCI Resource Analytics, a powerful solution that simplifies resource inventory and analytics across your OCI assets. Resource Analytics provides an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software attributes, relationships, and configuration history, giving you deep visibility into your IT environment.
Centralized inventory
Resource Analytics centralizes resource inventory across multiple tenancies and regions, offering easy access to configurations and relationships through a SQL endpoint. Built on OCI and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Resource Analytics synchronizes your resource metadata into a relational data model, allowing you to query inventory in near-real time. With standardized views and seamless integration with tools like Oracle SQL Developer, accessing and analyzing your data has never been easier.
Advanced troubleshooting
To simplify troubleshooting, Resource Analytics uses Graph Studio, an integrated Autonomous Data Warehouse feature, to visually represent resource relationships. This intuitive graphical interface helps you quickly understand connections between resources, enabling faster issue resolution. With a right-click, you can access detailed properties or navigate directly to the resource for immediate action, making resource management and addressing issues more efficient and accessible, as shown in figure 1.
Built-in inventory insights
You can also configure Resource Analytics to provision an Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) instance, providing built-in dashboards and reports that offer a comprehensive view of your resource inventory. These preconfigured analytics allow you to easily analyze data by region, tenancy, and compartment. You can extend these dashboards or create custom ones to meet your specific needs, and even bring in custom datasets for enriched insights.
