The Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer team is excited to announce the general availability of Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise UCM (license included) and Oracle Tuxedo (BYOL) Marketplace Images, explicitly for the Oracle Edge Cloud platform. The new paid listing is published explicitly for Compute Cloud@Customer and allows you to create compute instances that include entitlement and support to run Oracle software using Oracle’s Universal Credit Model (UCM). The compute instances created with these listings are billed per OCPU per hour. Infrastructure services, such as compute, memory and storage, are billed independently. Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise Marketplace Image includes Oracle Tuxedo software and selected Tuxedo add-on products. Using this image, you can quickly develop, test and deploy your Tuxedo enterprise applications on Compute Cloud@Customer or Private Cloud Appliance. As the #1 application server for C/C++ and COBOL, Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise Image provides a solid foundation for enterprise applications with comprehensive features.
The new listings available on Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Marketplace are as follows:
- Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise UCM Image for Compute Cloud@Customer – Using UCM image incurs a fee per OCPU per hour for accessing the Tuxedo software. The use of this image implies a license and support agreement, even though a contract is not required. The image includes entitlement and support for all the features included in Oracle Tuxedo and the following add-on products: Oracle® Tuxedo Advanced Performance Pack, Oracle® Tuxedo Jolt, and Oracle® Service Architecture Leveraging Tuxedo.
- Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise BYOL Image for Compute Cloud@Customer – If you already have a valid Tuxedo license and a support contract to use Tuxedo, then you can bring those licenses to Compute Cloud@Customer for using the BYOL images. You will only pay for the charges associated with the infrastructure and the computing, for example, OCPUs, storage, and anything else required by the Tuxedo application. Oracle Tuxedo Enterprise image includes Oracle Tuxedo software and selected Tuxedo add-on products. Using this image, you can quickly develop, test and deploy your Tuxedo enterprise applications.
