Oracle has achieved a significant milestone in the Czech Republic: 84 of its IaaS and PaaS services are now approved at Security Level 3 in the national eGovernment Cloud Catalog — the highest security classification available to commercial cloud providers in the Czech Republic.
Milestone in public sector cloud compliance
Security Level 3 is the catalog’s most stringent tier accessible to commercial providers, reserved for cloud services that meet strict criteria for confidentiality, integrity, and availability. By attaining this accreditation, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) becomes a trusted option for Czech public-sector institutions that need to run highly sensitive and mission-critical workloads in the public cloud.
In addition to meeting national security requirements, OCI is backed by a broad set of internationally recognized certifications and attestations — including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, and Germany’s BSI C5 — providing independent assurance of OCI’s security controls and operational excellence. Oracle’s cloud services support GDPR compliance and adhere to the EU Cloud Code of Conduct, further strengthening their suitability for EU public-sector and regulated workloads.
Broad high security portfolio — with more on the roadmap
With 84 approved services, OCI now offers one of the widest high-security cloud portfolios accessible to the Czech public sector. Agencies can adopt modern cloud capabilities — from databases and analytics to platform services — with features that help enable compliance, with the strictest requirements of the catalog.
Looking ahead, Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud (EUSC) is the next planned step on Oracle’s certification roadmap. Once accredited, the EU Sovereign Cloud will bring additional layers of assurance on top of Level 3, including enhanced data residency functionality, operational sovereignty, and EU-only personnel controls. This will further expand deployment options for institutions that require elevated governance and regulatory alignment.
Supporting digital transformation in the Czech Republic
By meeting the national catalog’s highest currently available commercial security level, Oracle reinforces its commitment to the Czech Republic’s digital transformation. As OCI continues toward EU Sovereign Cloud certification, public-sector organizations will gain even stronger foundations for cloud adoption that is security enabled, scalable, and future-ready.
