I’m excited to announce a new Foundations certification for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Our existing certifications provide role-based learning paths for solution architects, cloud administrators, and developers. With the Foundations certification, we now also have a learning path for individuals with nontechnical backgrounds, such as those involved in selling or procuring cloud solutions. We think this new content is a great place to start for people learning about the business impact of cloud, or those who want to take a first step toward more technical certification.
Certification Details
The Foundations certification is intended for individuals who want to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of public cloud services provided by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This certification is for business users, as well as those with a technical background, who want to validate their foundational-level knowledge of core Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. The certification exam doesn’t require any hands-on technical experience, and this certification isn’t a prerequisite for any other Oracle Cloud certifications.
The Foundations certification exam is 105 minutes long, contains 60 questions, and is currently available in English only. You can review the exam topics and schedule an exam with Pearson VUE.
To help you prepare for the certification, we’re making the full coursework and study guides available free of charge. The course covers relevant exam topics, including:
- General cloud concepts
- Architecture (regions, availability domains, fault domains, compartments)
- Core services (Networking, Compute, Storage, Database, Identity)
- Security
- Pricing and billing
At any time, you can assess your readiness by taking a practice exam, also available free of charge. To learn more about the various Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification and training content, visit our training and certification website.
We’d love to hear your feedback. Send us an email at oci-enablement_us_grp@oracle.com.
Keep learning and be great at it!
