Announcing Identity Federation with Microsoft AD FS

We are excited to announce the availability of identity federation with Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). This enhancement enables you to leverage your existing corporate identities to grant secure access to the Oracle BMCS Console. Rather than create new users in BMCS for those employees who need access to your BMCS infrastructure, your users can continue to use their existing AD credentials to sign in to BMCS. Federation works by setting up a trusted relationship between Oracle BMCS as the Service Provider (SP) and Microsoft Active Directory as your Identity Provider (IdP), using industry-standard Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0.

To configure this federation, simply add Microsoft Active Directory as an Identity Provider.

Then map groups in your Active Directory environment to groups in your Oracle BMCS tenancy (you can also create new groups during this configuration).

Finally, add Oracle BMCS as a trusted relying party to your Active Directory Federation Services and voila!, your users can log in to the Oracle BMCS console using their existing AD credentials.

To get started, see our online documentation.

Please let us know how we can continue to make Identity and Access Management easier for you.

Thanks,
Zach
