We are excited to announce that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Secure Desktops is now generally available (GA) in Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud. The region names and identifiers are:
- EU Sovereign Central (Frankfurt), eu-frankfurt-2, OC19
- EU Sovereign South (Madrid), eu-madrid-2, OC19
OCI Secure Desktops aims to deliver a more secure, scalable, and cost-efficient virtual desktop solution, designed to protect sensitive data by keeping it within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — never on user devices. Now, with availability in Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud, customers including public sector and regulated industries can now use Secure Desktops service to deliver virtual desktops, while helping ensure:
- Complete data residency within the EU with physical and logical separation from public cloud regions.
- Operations and support carried out exclusively by EU resident.
- Support for public sector and regulated industries with stringent EU compliance needs.
