This year, Oracle is taking OpenWorld global.

Following October’s Oracle OpenWorld 2018 conference in San Francisco, we’re holding three regional events to show customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia how we can help transform and secure their businesses. The first of these events, Oracle OpenWorld Europe: London, starts January 16.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure was central in the strategic announcements at OpenWorld in San Francisco. In his keynote, Oracle Executive Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison touted its advantages around security, performance, and pricing. And attendees packed dozens of sessions to learn why Oracle offers the only true enterprise-grade public cloud.

At OpenWorld Europe, attendees will learn what Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been working on since then. (Hint: a lot!) Here’s a preview of some can’t-miss cloud sessions:

Move and Improve Your Apps in the Cloud

January 16, 9 a.m. GMT

Other providers talk about how you can “lift and shift” your applications from on-premises to the cloud. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure takes that one step further. We enable organizations to “move and improve” their applications by running them in a purpose-built cloud that delivers higher performance and better security at a lower cost. Attendees of this session will learn why Oracle’s cloud is now ready for any and all workloads.

Real-World Enterprise Outcomes and Reactions

January 16, 12:55 p.m. GMT

In this breakout session, I’ll be joined by two customers sharing their stories about deploying and using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. They’ll cover a variety of use cases, including workload migrations and cloud native applications.

Your Cloud Transformation Roadmap

January 16, 1:40 p.m. GMT

In this solution keynote, Kyle York, Vice President of Product Strategy for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, will explain why infrastructure should be the foundation on which a successful cloud transformation strategy is built. An enterprise customer will also detail the performance and cost benefits they achieved by moving to the cloud.

Running Mission-Critical Apps

January 16, 3:10 p.m. GMT

The majority of enterprise applications do not yet live in the cloud. Most of these apps are the mission-critical workloads that have high demands around latency, availability, and performance. In this breakout session, Don Mowbray, Director of Product Management for Oracle Cloud Services, will explain how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers the security, predictability, and performance that these workloads require.

If you can’t attend Oracle OpenWorld Europe: London, we’re also holding events in Dubai in February and Singapore in March. We hope to see you there!
