Setting up Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse and Single Sign-On
To provide simple and secure access across our product line, Oracle is merging Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity and Access Management (OCI IAM). OCI IAM is a native OCI service that is available in all global regions and integrated with other OCI services.
The steps to enable single sign-on, so that users from Oracle Applications Cloud can access Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), are outlined in the document Setting up Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse and Single Sign-On.
You must set up single sign-on before you create your FAW instance. The steps depend on the following scenarios:
Scenario #1
You have an existing Oracle Applications Cloud (prior to migration to OCI IAM), with FAW activated in the same Oracle cloud account as your Oracle Applications Cloud.
Scenario #2
You have a new Oracle Applications Cloud (post migration to OCI IAM) and FAW is activated in the same Oracle cloud account as your Oracle Applications Cloud.
Scenario #3
You have an existing Oracle Applications Cloud (prior to migration to OCI IAM) and FAW is activated in a separate and pre-existing Oracle cloud account (prior to migration to OCI IAM).
Scenario #4
You have a new Oracle Applications Cloud (post migration to OCI IAM) and FAW is activated in a separate pre-existing Oracle cloud account (prior to migration to OCI IAM).
Scenario #5
You have an existing Oracle Applications Cloud (prior to migration to OCI IAM) and FAW is in a separate and new Oracle cloud account (brand new and post migration to OCI IAM).
Scenario #6
You have a new Oracle Applications Cloud (post migration to OCI IAM) and FAW is in a separate and new Oracle cloud account (brand new and post migration to OCI IAM).
The configuration document also includes the following appendices containing additional configuration information
- Appendix A: Create an Identity Domain in your FAW Cloud Account and Login to OCI Console as the Default Domain User
- Appendix B: Configure the GenericSCIM Template on the New Identity Domain
- Appendix C: Configure Single Sign-On Between Oracle Applications Cloud and FAW
- Appendix D: Create an OCI Policy that Authorizes Identity Domain Users to Create FAW Instances
- Appendix E: Create an Identity Provider Policy for Single Sign-On
We hope that these documents prove helpful as we transition from IDCS to OCI IAM. If you have any questions about this document or the procedures described in it, please feel free to contact your Oracle Analytics support team.
