Today, we’re announcing availability of the latest updates to Cohere’s Command R and Command R+ models (08-2024, version 1.6) on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service. These significant updates bring enhanced capabilities and efficiency to our enterprise AI offerings.
Key highlights include the following examples:
- Both models feature significant performance improvements in latency and throughput
- Both models are offered with a 128k context length on existing unit shapes
- Command R 08-2024 rivals the previous R+ version in math, coding, and reasoning
- Both models are available for on-demand inferencing and single-tenant hosting
- Command R 08-2024 fine-tuning is supported
- Command R+ excels at multistep tool use and complex retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) use cases, while Command R on OCI Generative AI is a cost-effective option for simpler RAG use cases
This release is available in the Chicago, Frankfurt, London, and São Paulo regions.
