We are pleased to announce that Oracle Visual Builder is now available running natively on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You'll find Visual Builder on the Oracle Cloud console under "Developer Services" menu in its own category. You'll find the service in our Latin America cloud centers in Sao Paolo, Vinhedo, and Santiago right now. In the next couple of months, we plan to roll out to the other cloud centers.
For administrators the new instances provide additional capabilities to control the service instances, including:
- Enhanced Security – Visual Builder instances are provisioned inside cloud compartments – which gives you better capabilities to control who can access each instance.
- Scalability – Administrators can increase and decrease the number of nodes used for each Visual Builder instance.
- Customized Endpoint – administrators can now self-service definition of custom endpoints for custom domains for apps
You can learn more on the setup process and the new functionality administrators get in our new administrator guide doc.
From the perspective of application development and hosting – you'll find the same rich functionality already in Visual Builder in the instances that are leveraging the new infrastructure. We are planning to migrate customers who are currently on the old infrastructure to the new one in the future. If you want to start working with the new instances today, you should be able to export and import applications between existing instances and instances provisioned on the new infrastructure.
