Beginning October 8, 2026, Oracle is changing the availability of two Oracle Visual Builder offerings for customers who have not previously used the service.

  • Oracle Visual Builder ( SKU B89646) offered from OCI console (aka standalone VBCS)
  • Oracle Visual Builder enabled from within Integration Cloud (aka OIC VBCS)

Both these offerings will no longer be available for new purchase or enablement. Official notice can be found here.

Does this impact me?

If you already have an active Oracle Visual Builder instance (either standalone or via Integration Cloud), you can continue using it. Oracle will continue to operate, maintain, and support existing customer environments. You can continue to renew your service and provision additional Visual Builder instances in the tenancy as well, subject to applicable service limits. No action or migration is required as a result of this change.

If you do not have a single active Oracle Visual Builder in the tenancy, then you will no longer be able to create or enable an Oracle Visual Builder instance.

What offerings are not affected?

Following are NOT in scope of this notice and continue to be offered

  • Oracle Visual Builder auto-provisioned with Fusion Cloud Applications – Sales and Service, typically used for Digital Customer Service portals
  • Visual Builder Studio (VBS) – this is a separate product
  • Redwood App Extensions (or App UIs) – these are deployed on Fusion Cloud Applications and are developed on Visual Builder Studio

What does this mean for existing applications?

Applications running in existing Oracle Visual Builder instances can continue to run. This announcement does not set an end-of-life date or require customers to rewrite or migrate those applications. Oracle will continue to provide support and required security fixes and patches for the affected Visual Builder offerings.

Can I use Visual Builder Studio (VBS) for my visual applications instead of Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS) now?

These are separate products serving different needs. Visual Builder Studio (VBS) is focussed at developers and offers GIT, CI/CD, IDE for apps etc, but is not an application hosting platform like Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS). Therefore, though you can use VBS for storing and developing apps, you would still need VBCS to run these apps. (Note: App Extensions/App UIs are also developed/customized on VBS and run on Oracle Fusion – there is no impact to these )
