There are a bunch of new resources that popped up in the past weeks that you might have missed. We wanted to call out your attention to these in this blog.
REST APIs for Visual Builder
A new book in our documentation set covers public REST APIs that are available for Visual Builder. We now offer REST APIs for:
- Getting a list of applications
- Lock and Unlock an app
- Export and Import data into business objects
- Getting an OAuth token to access these resources
These REST APIs are useful in cases where you need to automate processes that manipulate applications and data in your VB server. For example, you can automate a process where every night you lock an app, load new data into the BOs, and then unlock it.
You've been able to achieve these capabilities with Visual Builder Studio's declarative build steps for Visual Builder. Now you can use other tools as well to conduct such processes.
Redwood Starter Application Template 2401
An updated version of the template that provides you with built in notification handling, JET 15 support, and updated JavaScript action chains is now available. Check out a demo of some of these capabilities and more here.
Express Mode for Fusion Extensions
A new simpler experience for customers using Visual Builder to customize pages in Oracle Fusion Apps is now available. The express mode provides a streamlined experience hiding the complexity when modifying pages that Oracle created. A new Customizer Guide is also available to help you get started. You can see a quick demo of the experience in the recording of our seminar on Extending Oracle Fusion Cloud Apps with Visual Builder.
Community Code Samples and Blogs
We are lucky to have members of the Visual Builder community share their knowledge with each other.
Here are some cool demos and code samples that were shared lately:
