The Bring Your Own Image (BYOI) feature enables you to bring your own versions of operating systems to the cloud if the underlying hardware supports it. BYOI eliminates the need for a fresh implementation of Siebel on OCI, thereby meeting the customers where they are. Everything from on-premises virtual machines moves to OCI as-is, reducing the overall migration effort and time.
Some of our customers who adopted BYOI to migrate Siebel have greatly benefited as this has shortened the duration to move to OCI. Using BYOI, our customers begin to witness value in moving to OCI much early.
