The Siebel Developer Assistant is a step in that direction. Built for developers, it empowers teams with intelligent AI Assistants that support established Siebel CRM development practices for selected Siebel repository objects.
Our solution
Siebel Developer Assistant is a sample application that brings AI-assisted development to selected Siebel Web Tools repository objects. It combines a Siebel Developer Assistant MCP Server, object-specific Agent Skills, and Agent Instructions to help developers discover repository metadata, understand configuration context, prepare implementation plans, and perform supported configuration tasks through controlled, workspace-aware tooling.
Our sample application provides the key building blocks you need:
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server that provides controlled access to supported Siebel Web Tools capabilities.
- Agent instructions that guide the AI coding environment through discovery, documentation, planning, and supported configuration activities.
- Object-specific Agent Skills that provide guidance on object hierarchies, valid paths, field rules, prerequisites, and safe configuration practices.
Together, these building blocks bring Siebel-specific knowledge into the developer workflow. Codex is the validated reference integration for the sample application.
Although we tested the Siebel Developer Assistant with Codex, its MCP server, skills, instructions, and Siebel reference materials can also be adapted for other agentic coding tools. With minor changes depending on the coding tool in question, these components provide the relevant context needed to interact with the MCP server and plan Siebel CRM configuration work.

Explore, document, plan, and configure
Developers can use the solution to explore supported repository objects, inspect existing configurations, and document what they find. They can also begin with a clear configuration request when they already know what they want to change.
The Developer Assistant gathers relevant context and identifies dependencies for supported objects. Once it has the required information, it can assist with planning and supported configuration activities in a development workspace. This saves a great amount of time for Siebel Developers without the need to navigate around the Web Tools IDE.
Human in the loop
Human input is built into the workflow. When required information is missing or ambiguous, the Developer Assistant asks for clarification before proceeding with the affected activity.
For example, if a developer asks the Assistant to inspect a branch but does not identify the branch, it asks which branch to use. This helps ensure that the developer provides the context needed for the next action.
AI assistance does not replace developer expertise, governance, or review. Authorized developers control promotion to the integration or the mainline branch in Workspaces.
Review results and validate changes
At the end of every conversation, the Developer Assistant provides a summary of the work performed and the information gathered. For configuration journeys, it also provides relevant validation details. Developers can also review the Assistant’s findings and inspect resulting recommendations and repository changes in the Web Tools IDE.
