As SaaS Cloud environments grow more dynamic, security risks are becoming more complex too. From new compliance mandates to emerging AI-powered threats, staying ahead requires not only monitoring, but collaboration. That’s why we’re opening the door to deeper collaboration with our Oracle SaaS Cloud customers.
Introducing the new Application Security Idea Lab on Oracle Customer Cloud Connect (CCC): a space designed for you to propose ideas, surface emerging needs, and help directly influence the future of SaaS Cloud application security, together with Oracle’s SaaS Cloud Security Product Management team.
Whether it’s a new control, a policy update, or a smarter way to tackle real-world risks, this Idea Lab is the single place for every Oracle SaaS customer to be heard, and to help harden Oracle SaaS applications against tomorrow’s threats
Turning ideas into impact: Why the Application Security Idea Lab matters?
Security is no longer just an afterthought; it is a strategic priority for every organization. As risks and compliance mandates evolve faster than any single provider can anticipate, collective insight becomes essential.
By centralizing all SaaS application security ideas in one dedicated lab, this initiative helps:
- Influence what gets built: Every idea is reviewed and assessed by SaaS Cloud Security engineering teams to help shape product direction.
- Solve real-world security challenges together: Open dialogue between customers and Oracle experts help ensure proposed ideas are relevant, scalable and broadly valuable across industries.
- Accelerate time-to-value – Highly supported ideas move more quickly through assessment and, when feasible, onto the roadmap.
What is Customer Cloud Connect?
Customer Cloud Connect is Oracle’s premier cloud community, serving nearly 500,000 members, hosting 446,000+ discussions and over 1.3 million comments on product strategy, best practices, and release news. It offers forums, events, knowledge articles, and most importantly: Idea Labs where customers co-design the future of Oracle Cloud services.
A transparent workflow that keeps you informed
Every submission to the Application Security Idea Lab Oracle follows the standard Customer Cloud Connect Idea Lab lifecycle, making it easy to track where every single idea stands. Each post is assigned a clear status labels that reflects its stage in the process:
Submitted → Under Oracle Review → Planned / Current Capability / Option for Future Release → Delivered (or Declined / Archived / Duplicate, if applicable).
These transparent checkpoints eliminate the guesswork, giving you a clear view of how your idea is being considered.
Recognition for contributions
Every shared idea, cast vote or shared comment, contributes to strengthening the collective security posture, and peace of mind. These contributions earn community points that count towards Champion Levels and visible badges on each user’s profile. Higher tiers come with certificates that can be proudly showcased on professional networks such as LinkedIn.
What makes a standout submission?
A fully formed proposal isn’t necessary; just a clear challenge and an idea for what could help organizations. Here’s what makes submissions more impactful:
- Clear problem statement: Describe the risk, vulnerability, or compliance gap needs to be addressed.
- Business context: Indicate which roles, teams or business processes are impacted (e.g., Payroll admins, SOX auditors).
- Desired outcome: Define the feature, control, or policy enhancement that could mitigate the issue.
- Measurable benefit: Describe how success will be tracked (fewer manual steps, faster audits, etc.).
Even half-formed ideas are welcome, the community members and Oracle teams collaborate to shape and refine ideas into actionable items.
