Fusion Applications product priorities
The Fusion Development team is focusing on the following areas:
- GenAI: The Fusion Development team is rapidly introducing GenAI capabilities across the Fusion Apps suite, with more than 100 new embedded features delivered to date. We can develop new AI-powered features quickly thanks to our integrated, secure technology stack, which allows us to build and refine the features leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
- AI agents: AI agents handle complicated user interactions and tasks autonomously—but always with human oversight. They use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to safely include confidential and personal data in their responses. So we’re rolling out AI agents that can help automate end-to-end business processes and deliver personalized insights, content, and recommendations.
- Industry solutions: Steve highlighted a few recent industry-focused innovations including Smart Operations, which brings near-real-time data on inventory, equipment, and work orders to manufacturing workers so they can make more informed decisions. He also announced new inventory management tools for the healthcare industry, as well as the tight integration of our ERP, HCM, and SCM products with Cerner applications (and other back-office systems used by healthcare networks).
Customer success in the spotlight
Throughout the keynote, Steve welcomed customer executives on stage to talk about how they use Fusion Apps, adopt AI innovations, and collaborate with Oracle. Representing diverse industries, they shared stories with universal themes about improving user experiences and simplifying IT environments plus specific details about their experiences across finance, supply chain, and HR.
Stephanie Lepori, chief administrative and accounting officer of Caesars Entertainment, shared how Caesars uses Fusion ERP, EPM, and HCM to close their books in five days and manage their complex workforce effectively.
Dietrich Franz, CFO of DHL Supply Chain, considers Oracle Cloud products to be the company’s most strategic systems. Since implementation, they’ve transformed the finance function, empowered employees with self-service apps, simplified the transport business’ operating model, and eliminated IT complexity by shedding integrations and third-party apps.
At Zebra Technologies, CIO Matthew Ausman relies on Oracle Fusion Applications to run supply chain and manufacturing operations and configure-price-quote processes. Zebra is also an early adopter of Oracle’s new supply chain and inventory management capabilities.
Adoption is key
Early in the keynote, Steve emphasized the importance of activating new features via quarterly updates. AI-powered features in Fusion Apps are available at no extra cost; all you have to do is turn them on.
