Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence is a suite of analytics applications that gives you a complete, up-to-date view of your business, without the heavy lift of complex data integrations or the creation and maintenance of manual reports. This article answers some of the most common questions about Fusion Data Intelligence so you can learn how it works, how to get started, and how it’s different from the analytics you already have access to in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

1. What is Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, and what can it do for my organization?

Fusion Data Intelligence is a group of analytic applications built to work with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, SCM, and CX applications. It gives business stakeholders ready-to-use, domain-specific insights that help them run the business while preventing your IT teams from drowning in reporting requests. • AI agents and applications
  • Key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Metrics
  • Dashboards

2. What technology is Fusion Data Intelligence built on?

Fusion Data Intelligence is built on Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), both of which are included in the Fusion Data Intelligence subscription.

Oracle Analytics Cloud delivers a complete set of AI-assisted analytics capabilities for every role, from analysts to business users to executives. Because it doesn’t require coding, users can easily access modern analytics capabilities—including data visualization, data discovery, and advanced analytics—as well as secure, self-service data preparation and enrichment.

ADW is an autonomous database optimized for analytics that supports all your data management needs, including data marts and data lakehouses. It integrates seamlessly with Oracle Analytics Cloud so business users and analysts can run large-scale, AI-powered queries and visualizations without the need for manual database management. These two tools work together to help organizations improve productivity and make data-driven decisions.

3. What data sources can I use?

Fusion Data Intelligence is an ideal solution to use with Fusion Applications for two important reasons. First, it includes a fully managed data integration with your Fusion Applications, allowing data to update on a schedule you control so your teams always work with current information. But you can also connect to almost any other data source in the world using Oracle Analytics Cloud and ADW, including information from:

  • Oracle databases and applications
  • Non-Oracle data stores, including custom solutions and packaged applications
  • Third party sources such as regulatory agencies, analysts, industry information, streaming data, and more

This flexibility to use data from virtually any source enables you to comprehensively analyze all the data that’s important to your business decisions.

4. What about other analytics tools that I already use?

You can use Fusion Data Intelligence as the central, governed data source for all your analytics needs. Because Oracle is committed to both open data access and providing our customers with more value, Fusion Data Intelligence can also act as the source of data for other BI products.

5. What if I’m just getting started with Fusion Apps?

If you’re a new Fusion Apps customer, don’t wait to finish your application deployment before starting your Fusion Data Intelligence implementation!

Identifying the questions you want to answer with data at the beginning of an implementation can increase your odds of success with both applications and analytics. We recommend testing with your own data early in your Fusion Apps project. This ultimately saves time, and it gives your extended teams and executives a real example of what’s possible, which can be very compelling and generate a momentum all its own.

6. What are the pricing and prerequisites for Fusion Data Intelligence?

Your organization must be live on at least one module from Oracle Fusion Cloud CX, ERP, HCM, or SCM to connect to Fusion Data Intelligence. All pricing and purchasing information for Fusion Data Intelligence products is available on the Oracle Fusion Cloud Price List (search for “Fusion Data”).

You can also test drive Fusion Data Intelligence before you purchase. Oracle’s AI and Analytics Innovation Sprint program sets up 10 users with 10 KPIs in just 10 days so you can see its potential in your organization, with your own data.
