Introduction

Looking for a way to quickly evaluate Cloud HCM Redwood pages without having to enable/disable the profile options?

With Cloud HCM Relase 24B, the deep links workarea is improved to include Redwood Quick actions!  You may be already using deep links to open pages without using menus. Deep links come in handy if you want users to go directly from various locations to Oracle Applications Cloud. Now you can easily get all the deep links for the Redwood pages and while you are at it, try out those Redwood pages without having to enable any profile option.

Deep Links work area (Navigator > Tools > Deep Links)

Redwood Quick Actions is available from the Navigator under Tools > Deep Links. The list is limited to quick actions across Me, My Team and My Client Groups tabs. You can view both the responsive pages\quick actions as well as their Redwood equivalents in the same instance.

Redwood Quick Actions

Security

You need to have the View Administration Link (FND_VIEW_ADMIN_LINK_PRIV) privilege to access the deep links work area. The privilege is part of several seeded Job Roles and you can review that via Security Console. For example:

  • Human Capital Management Application Administrator
  • Application Implementation Consultant
  • Application Implementation Administrator

Sample Deep Links

Here are few examples for the URL pattern of a deep link

  • Personal Details:  https://<pod-URI>/fscmUI/redwood/personal-information/personal-details/personal-details-start
  • Employment Info (showing query parameters): https://<pod-URI>/fscmUI/redwood/employment-info/view/assignments?pEffectiveDate=2024-04-10&pAssignmentId=100000001234567

**Note: It is best to avoid specific query parameters, if you are using deep links to route employees directly to their information in Cloud HCM. For e.g. “https://<pod-URI>/fscmUI/redwood/employment-info/view/assignments” is better way to go. No need to pass effective date or assignment Id in the query param, system will automatically append necessary parameters for the signed-in user.
