Following a quarterly Fusion release it may be necessary to upgrade your VBS workspace to ensure it picks up the latest features, for instance the new “Validate Field Values” feature in Express Mode.
In 24B some HCM Redwood pages were delivered to support the “Validate Field Values” feature in Express Mode. In some cases customers were not immediately able to see the new button that invokes this feature.
The following steps can be undertaken to upgrade your workspace so that the “Validate Field Values” feature in Express Mode is enabled.
Prior to the successful Workspace upgrade your Express Mode UI might look as follows, without the “Validate Field Values” feature enabled.
Note that the page might ask you to Reload your browser.
Once you do that you will see another popup appear indicating that Migrations to a new source metadata format is available:
You can either click on the “Open Settings” button, or alternatively (and if the popup disappears before you click on it), you can navigate to Advanced Mode -> Settings to access the Settings page:
Once in the Settings page, you will see a message if you have uncomitted changes in your Workspace. You must commit or revert the changes before you can migrate the Workspace.
Once you have commited or reverted the changes, you can migrate the Workspace.
Once the migration is complete you will get the following confirmation:
And finally you can return to Express Mode to access the “Validate Field Values” feature.
