New Evaluator Group research report on ZDLRA

New Evaluator Group research report on ZDLRA adds to an increasing number of industry influencers that see the tangible business benefits of this game-changing appliance.

Highlights from this report include:

“Oracle’s Recovery Appliance is unique among competing general-purpose backup appliances due to its co-engineered capabilities with Oracle Database and the Oracle stack.”

“The Recovery Appliance’s scale-out architecture puts it in a different class of backup appliance by enabling Oracle DBAs and application administrators to expand data protection capabilities continuously without adding stand-alone controllers that create islands of backup data and make backup and recovery more complex and time consuming.”

Oracle Corporation
Oracle at Enterprise Connect 2016
Aligning Cloud Computing Initiatives with the Demands of Business Workloads

A recent study from the Aberdeen Group found that two-thirds of enterprise applications are currently implemented as virtualized workloads (either private clouds or public clouds). However, the majority of these workloads (68%) are still being executed on premises. The implication is that enterprises want to take advantage of the cloud’s flexibility and cost-effectiveness—but are hesitant to relinquish control.

What factors should drive an enterprise’s ‘journey to the cloud’? According to the Aberdeen Group, the primary driver should be that which is closest to a company’s strategic objectives – which is identified as enterprise application or business workloads.

Read the Aberdeen Group’s “Flash Forward” research paper today to learn:
  • The top three inhibitors to cloud computing and virtualization initiatives
  • Where the expected benefits of the cloud are falling short – and why
  • Why virtualization and cloud initiatives are so complex in practice
  • Strategic options for coping with complexity and go-forward guidance on implementing virtualization and cloud computing initiatives
