We are pleased to announce the availability of Business Continuity for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 on Oracle Database 19c Using Physical Host Names on Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer Gen 2 (Doc ID 2875680.1).

This new document describes how to implement an Oracle Database 19c physical standby for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 environments on Exadata Cloud@Customer Gen 2.

The above new Document 2875680.1, which pertains to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 only, provides complete instructions on how to configure a 19c physical standby database on Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer Gen 2.

Installing a 19c Oracle Home in readiness for standby database creation.
Preparing your primary database for standby database creation.
Creating the standby database.
Configuring your application tier for the standby database.
Performing a role transition: switchover, failover, or switchback.

Since joining Oracle in 1991, she has held a variety of engineering, engineering management, and product management positions. Most recently, she has taken on the role of managing teams focused on Oracle E-Business Suite technology stack triage and database architecture. Before joining Oracle, Terri earned computer science degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and held positions at General Electric and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Outside of work, Terri enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially in the outdoors.
