The Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) Team is thrilled to announce the availability of ODA 21.12

ODA 21.12 continues to innovate the ML model by offering improved robustness to lower diversity of entity values in the training data, enhanced detection of out-of-scope and out-of-domain user input and support for multiple references to the same system entity.

In addition, ODA now supports anonymization of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to protect users' privacy in Insights reports and conversation logs. There's also a new "chat sessions metric" to provide higher level usage reporting.

Additional details on these new features you can now use in building your skills:

ML Model Enhancements

  • Improved detection of out-of-scope and out-of-domain user input
  • Enhanced intent resolution as training data for intents with built-in entities can be entity-aware.
  • Support multiple references to the same system entity

Anonymization of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

  • Protect users' privacy by anonymizing the values extracted for the PERSON, URL, EMAIL, PHONE_NUMBER, and NUMBER system entities in Insights reports and in the exported conversation logs
  • Message context is retained by replacing user input with an equivalent value (anonym)

Chat Session Metrics DA and Skill Insights

  • As chat sessions are typically seen as proxy for users, these metrics provide a higher level usage reporting (than the existing conversations, which will continue to be offered)
  • Supported at the skill, digital assistant, and site-wide analytics reporting
