Essbase 19c on OCI Marketplace – Announcement

Error correction for Essbase 19c on Oracle Cloud Marketplace has been extended to December 2022, after which no patches will be delivered. Please note that during this extension corrections to the underlying FMW 12.2.1.3 stack will be limited to WebLogic Server Standard Edition (restricted to use for running Essbase 19c only).  Customers should plan to migrate their Essbase 19c deployments to the latest Oracle Cloud Marketplace listings for versions 21.x.

How will this affect my service?

Essbase 19c listings from OCI Marketplace will not be available beyond December 2022 using the OCI Marketplace console. No FMW or Essbase 19c Patches will be provided for 19c deployments using the OCI Marketplace listings/images.

Are there any required actions I need to take?

Customers should migrate their Essbase 19c deployments to the latest Oracle Cloud Marketplace listings for versions 21.x. Customers can migrate their 19c applications to 21c using the migration tools provided. For details on migrating to latest version of Essbase from 19c refer to Migrate Between Essbase 19c and Higher Deployments. New listings for latest version of Essbase can be found on the Marketplace console.

Why is this action required?

Corrections to the underlying FMW 12.2.1.3 stack will be limited to WebLogic Server Standard Edition only till December 2022. Hence to stay on the current supported version of FMW (12.2.1.4), customers need to upgrade to Essbase 21c on OCI Marketplace.
