Greetings from your OCI GoldenGate User Assistance (UA) team! It’s been a while since your last update! I hope everybody have had a great start to 2023!
I’m Katherine and I started working on the OCI GoldenGate UA team in September 2022. I am so excited to write my first blog post and share all the latest updates that Jenny and I have been working on!

A new version of GoldenGate is now available
There have been several GoldenGate versions released since our last update. New GoldenGate versions for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Big Data are now available. We also now support Microsoft SQL Server deployments. Ensure that you upgrade your deployments as soon as you can. See OCI GoldenGate versions.
New Deployment type and Big Data connections
This latest release of OCI GoldenGate includes support for the Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server deployment type, and an array of Big Data connections, such as MongoDB, and Snowflake! For a full list of supported connection types, see What’s supported.
New feature: Manage master encryption key wallets
You can now manage master encryption key wallets in OCI GoldenGate. Use master encryption keys to encrypt trail files distributed to other GoldenGate deployments. You can then import and export master encryption key wallets to use with other source and target OCI GoldenGate deployments. Learn more here!
New feature: Maintenance
You can now schedule upgrades, subscribe to upgrade notifications, snooze upgrade notifications, and rollback upgrades, see how you can maintain your OCI GoldenGate deployments.
New quickstarts
With the addition of the Micrsoft SQL Server deployment type and Big Data connections, new quickstarts were added to help you get started:
- Replicate data from Amazon RDS to OCI Object Storage
- Stage and merge data into Autonomous Data Warehouse using OCI GoldenGate
- Replicate data from Azure SQL Managed Instance to Autonomous Transaction Processing
- Replicate data from PostgreSQL to Snowflake
- Replicate data from Autonomous Transaction Processing to Amazon S3
- Replicate data from MongoDB to Autonomous JSON Database
Stay tuned!
