Oracle GoldenGate team is pleased to announce the general availability of GoldenGate for Distributed Applications and Analytics (GG for DAA) 23.8 which introduces new connections, enhancements and fixes.

New Connections:

  1. Amazon DocumentDB as source: GG for DAA now supports AWS DocumentDB Capture. You use GG for DAA AWS DocumentDB Capture for zero down-time migrations from Amazon DocumentDB to Oracle Database. 

New Features and Enhancements:

  1. GG for DAA now supports format selection for AWS S3, GCS, ADLS, OCI Object Storage, and local file systems. With GG for DAA 23.8 and later, you can easily select the type of the format from a dropdown list and easily ingest the selected format into your lake house and delta lake house.
  2. GG for DAA now supports auto-table creation for Microsoft Synapse. With GG for DAA 23.8 and later, if target table does not exist in your Synapse SQL Pool, it will be automatically created by GG for DAA based on the source table definition.
  3. GG for DAA now supports Snowflake Timestamps. 
  4. GG for DAA now supports removing all the existing contents inside the S3 buckets before starting the replication.
