GoldenGate 26ai builds on decades of battle-tested CDC leadership and delivers a set of innovations that make it easier than ever for enterprises to unlock the value of PostgreSQL and PostgreSQL-compatible systems in real-time architectures.
From the outset, PostgreSQL has been a cornerstone of modern data applications: trusted by developers for its extensibility, embraced by enterprises for its reliability, and deployed everywhere from transactional systems to analytically driven platforms. GoldenGate has been part of that journey — as a recognized leader in change data capture (CDC) and replication, relied upon by customers to move data with precision, scale, and operational confidence across heterogeneous landscapes. With the GoldenGate 26ai release, we are significantly expanding that footprint with full capture and delivery support for YugabyteDB and YugabyteDB Anywhere (version 2024.2.7.0 and higher) and EnterpriseDB (EDB) Postgres Advanced Server (version 13 and higher) — delivering data across the most relevant PostgreSQL variants used in today’s architectures.

Automatic Schema Evolution (Preview)
GoldenGate 26ai introduces Automatic Schema Evolution, a preview capability designed to reduce operational friction caused by ongoing schema changes. The system can automatically detect supported source schema modifications and propagate them to the target environment during replication, minimizing manual intervention and reducing the risk of replication interruptions.
For PostgreSQL environments that evolve rapidly under agile development cycles, this capability represents a significant step toward self-adapting replication pipelines that align with continuous delivery practices.
Google Spanner Delivery Support (Preview)
GoldenGate 26ai for PostgreSQL also introduces preview delivery support for Google Cloud Spanner, expanding heterogeneous target options for enterprise customers. This enables organizations to replicate data into globally distributed, strongly consistent cloud-native databases, supporting multi-region architectures and cross-cloud strategies. PostgreSQL-based operational systems can now integrate more seamlessly with cloud-native application backends built on Spanner, without introducing additional replication tooling.
